I’m looking for an original regulator for the gameboy pocket. Does anyone have any spares or can someone point me in the right direction for parts that can replace it.
If people ask me for regulators I will tend to assume they mean voltage regulators, though as above I will ask if you mean something else as that has the ring of someone being told a term they might not understand.
I am not aware of it being a particularly noted fix or problem on the GBP, and outside of people stuffing way too much voltage through them they rarely fail or degrade on stuff like this (some audio stuff can vary), but I don't necessarily go that deep either for GBP stuff.
All that said if one in your GBP is broken and a casual search did not reveal anything (sometimes people put together fix kits and sell them for common problems/upgrades/mods) then voltage regulators are pretty much a jellybean part as it were -- you can buy them in any common voltage you like and in almost any pin configuration and package size you like from any major electronics vendors, and any number of places besides. Indeed as it is now potentially decades on from the GBP being made you might find what you have available to you in general parts is possibly superior to anything Nintendo would have picked for the GBP all those decades ago (the low dropout world has come on leaps and bounds in the time since then https://uk.farnell.com/c/semiconduc...mic/voltage-regulators/ldo-voltage-regulators )
