If you have a MS28, you need a VIA 6421 Pci card. This works with all the drives. Going to flash mine next weekend or so.

I have MS25 and I did it with the same card slayerspud recommends. Costs about 20 dollars (for me euros). Just google some tutorial and download Xtreme Boot Maker. It prepares a boot floppy for you and the flashing can begin.

i'ma techno-noobie. i have no clue what an MS28 or 25 is.... it turnes up a few related when searched by google, but it still doesnt tell me what kind of card, or where i would get it...

Its the model of the 360 drive. The ms28 is the second drive by Toshiba Samsung to be used in 360s. I have an older 360 and mine is an ms25.

You can find out what drive you have by simply ejecting the tray and comparing the holes on it to this picture.
If you do have the samsung (or hitatchi) your half way there.
