Honestly I think TwinRetro should have been a moderator a long time ago.
Congrats guys!

And Densetsu shouldn't have had to ask me to take care of problems outside his areas. But we don't like rushing decisions such as that.

I've been absent for this session of decisions, but support each and every one. We still have one of the finest compliments of staff members on the web.
(you know, apart from me)

I understand that and all, I'm just saying excellent choices.

Just wondering, how does someone go about obtaining moderator status within less than 3 years of being on the temp? How does one go about this process? I'm not hating, I'm honestly curious.

the time has nothing to do. I became Moderator after 9 years
While some other users got promoted after only few months (Tj_cool!).

All depends if the staff notice your effort in helping other users, and if they think you can be a helpful in a staff position (there's not only moderator position).

Also not being a dick even if you are helpful (so don't look at me).

Isn't that a lot of global moderators? Shouldn't it be more of a pyramid hierarchy? 2 Admins, 4 supervisors, >4 global mods, >>4 mods

There are >4 globals, so there's no problem.

Poor 'normal' moderators don't fit the pyramid.

There was a time a couple of years ago where WildWon was the only local moderator around.

Temporary, actually. Way back when the Temp was a romsite it used to only contain a few of the newest releases and it'd remove 'em after a couple days. Not sure if you were legitimately curious or anything but it's a neat bit of history anyway.

And it's always sad to see staff moving on, and it feels like TrolleyDave and Rayder have been here forever. Grats to the awesome new mods and promoted old mods.

I was just trying to be funny with the templars thing. Because of the way this post started it made me think of something like lol. So I was trying to use a play on words. I had a feeling it stood for temporary , but never understood why , so I appreciate the info on why it was called that .
Sure most wouldn't care , but maybe a little history thread on here would be cool. ( assuming there isn't one already)
