In reply to the past comments in the Staff Meeting comments threads GBATemp will be holding a meeting to include members this Saturday at 2pm GMT. Staff members that are available will be there and I encourage all members of GBATemp to attend. You can use this opportunity to voice your opinions and concerns about the site. It would be the opportune time to give staff suggestions to making GBATemp a better community. Or you could just come to hang around and talk with other members of GBATemp.

The time has been changed to 2pm GMT NOT 12pm (midday). That's +2 hours onto the original time.

Why do I feel this will be one big clusterf--k of a problem? That's a LOT of people in a single chatroom trying to voice their opinions, suggestions, etc. Sounds like trouble waiting to happen to me...

Anyhoo, 7AM on a Saturday is a no-no, especially since I have a concert the night before and night of said meeting...I'll need my beauty sleep.

I just hope the boards get a full blow-by-blow log of what happened during this meeting.

I'm hoping I will be able to make it. I'm very busy on Saturdays, but I feel I should attend. I will try my best as I have been a member for so long and would like to attend such an important meeting.

I hope there won't be too many people just saying random stuff.
How about you moderate the channel (+m) and have a sort of queue for suggestions? Then, voice (+v) the people who's turn it is.
This would only be an option if there were hundreds of people though and it's just a suggestion.
From the looks of it, a fair amount will turn up to the meeting.

Well i don't count on 100's of people turning up, I think we'd be lucky if we can get 30 people there

If this meeting/chat goes sucessful I'm sure there will be more of them in the future.

Hopefully when I come back from the club Saturday morning I'll be able to get up for this meeting although I might be getting back at that time. I'll most definitely make my best effort to make it.

the meeting is mainly for members of the board to contribute ideas to what could improve gbatemp. I don't really think there are any specific issues the staff will talk about, it's just whatever the members bring up. That and just having a chat with fellow gbatemp members

Don't worry guys, the meeting may start too soon for some of you but it could go on for a few hours so you can still join in during the middle of it. It's early for me as well but I'll be there, that's for sure.
