GBAtemp is bad for you

Even though the media tries to brainwash people, GBAtemp does not
allow you to softmod an ipatched switch and it is not the best source of scene news.
Even if you're not a pirate you should accept this.

-gyno because of all the hormones
-excess use of adblock which creates resistant ads
-possible acidation of your brain which cannot be made back neutral which makes you post about the FBI constantly and make alt accounts
-electrons get raped to make GBAtemp

GBAtemp has one of the best, if not the best, colour scheme I have ever seen on any website. Has this been discussed anywhere? The designer(s) obviously have a clue about good design which I appreciate a lot.

GBAtemp has quite the dull and minamilist website design that I wish should be reverted to more vibrant and retro. Look at this screenshot from GBAtemp back in 2014 and you'll see what I mean.

Some stuff is out of their control they must update and adapt to keep up to date security options with XenForo. People loose their mind when gbatemp goes offline for like 24 hours so that says alot about some of its users dedication to the site.

It's a big site, of course, and the only place to find actual advice for console modding. Very few forums exist for that now because of Discord.

Yeah but alot has to do with XenForos code when they update software versions. If they move treenav variables for example they can't really do alot about it unless they wanna rewrite the entire code. It's more simple just to adapt. I'm not a coder I just understand the structures.

I much prefer the current website. Whoever worked on it would be doing exactly what I would do: make it comfortable to read & navigate. Just great User Interface design and colours. These things are always subjective though, aren't they?
