Already did that. Though, I can't say for certain how up to date the patches are on the version I have. There's no releases on github, not even an alpha. Had to just randomly hunt down a copy off google from who knows how long ago. Don't even know how people got ahold of that either.
I don't know if the dev(s) are trying to keep it hidden or something until it's more stable, who knows. Guess might just have to wait for a public release whenever they feel it's ready.

The configs folder is in the repository here, you can just clone the repository and get the folder, or just manually download it from there itself. Also make sure that none of your folders or roms have special characters on their names, since GBArunner3 doesn't support loading those characters in filenames yet. I've just tested the games you listed on both DS and DSi and all work completely fine.

As for "keeping it hidden", is just that is not stable enough yet for even an initial release, and the main dev (Gericom) is focused in another project right now. GBArunner3 for in its current state is meant for testing and developing, that's why you have to compile it by yourself in the meantime.

I actually went digging through google again found a newer build of GBARunner3 with a Modified date of 2024-11-15 which is quite recent. After copying that over both the aforementioned ROMs work great now.
Uploaded here in case anyone else is interested since some have been having trouble finding a download.

For something with ~70% playable compatibility including most major games I feel like that's good enough for public testing to help identify any major issues that might exist, but at the end of the day I guess it's the developer's choice.

Which ROMs were the ones giving you issues? Did you test others besides HoS and MZM?

Actually, I just realized I typed Zero Mission by mistake, I meant to type Fusion. That one works fine now.

Only tested a couple major titles so far.
Working: Gradius, Gunstar, Sword of Mana, Metroid Fusion, all Pokemons, all Kirbys, all Marios, and all the Castlevanias.
Not working: Metroid ZM white screens on boot, and FireEmblem TSS black screens after splash screens, listed as working on the chart.

Using the 2024-11-15 hicode build and the latest patches from github on a R4iLS clone + DSLite/3DS.
Difference in flash cart causing the issue maybe? I don't know, I'm guessing at random.

Yes, but the DSpico project will be released first.
No, as the picoLauncher will be used as it's main frontend, and you can use TwilightMenu++ as one for now.

Those sound like BIOS issues, or you're using the WiiU releases for some games, which are known to cause unexpected issues due to some weird patches that Nintendo added to them.

Yeah but when is going to be released and what features will it have?
There is no exact date on when it'll release. Also, it'll feature improved game compatibility and improved audio emulation.
And also will it have a manu like gbarunner2 when you touch the screen or sth like that?
It'll probably have an in-game menu where you change some settings, but not a menu for browsing ROMs, as GBARunner3 is being made with frontends (such as TWLMenu++) in mind.

Sorry in advance if my question is going to seem stupid and off-topic but are you referring to a Pico-8 emulator project for DS? (DS lite compatible maybe?)

No, the DSpico Flashcard, which is an open source flashcard that uses the Raspberry Pi pico as the main core. It will be open sourced to the public soon, in both hardware and software. It's kernel, named "picoLauncher", will support GBARunner3 eventually.

Oh ! I missed this news, it seems very interesting and suggests a bright future for our little DS, I don't know the capabilities of the Pi pico but it would be nice that one day, like an improved DSTwo or rather a flashcard with hardware embedded could see the light of day with the possibility of considerably increasing the emulation capabilities on DS, in any case that is what this project gives us hope for :) Thank you for your response and all my encouragement to you and your team for this great project ;)

They were VC releases. I replaced them and they work fine now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, didn't even know that mattered since the ROMs worked perfectly on every other console and emulator I've ever used them on.

Well any recent new updates on gbarunner3? Like sth new added or compatibility issues fixed or anything at all?

Last time they are working on the RTC, but it's not completely finished and keep in mind there is no estimation of when the latest update will be released, also remember Dartz said that they will release the DS Pico first before the Gbar3.

I REALLY hope the beautiful Emerald Seaglass romhack becomes fully working on GBARunner3 in the future. Someone in Discord managed to make it run but there are issues like freezing in battle tent and RTC doesn't work.
