Can you play gba games on the R4 with the Wood FW?

Like the above comments, you cannot play GBA games directly from the R4's Micro SD card. But what you CAN do is The Pi's suggestion or just buy a GBA Flash Cart (barely sold anymore)...

Do you know if R4 Wood has built in support for the 3-in-1 (both psram and nor modes) or do you still need GBA Exploader? Most slot 1 cards support running GBA games directly from the menu as long as you have a 3 in 1.

3in1 is is not supported...but theres a patch somewhere on the forum to get 3in1 working

Again, the actual Wood R4 read-me and walk-through contains nothing about GBA. Also you should have done a search before.

3in1 is is not supported...but theres a patch somewhere on the forum to get 3in1 working

3in1+ is not officially supported (yet).
AFAIK 3in1 works without issue.
