I've made a GBA Macro with an original DS that wasn't working because of a broken upper screen. The screen would flash and the console would turn off when trying to turn it on.
I've used a 330 ohm resistor and now, when I've tried to turn it on, absolutely nothing happens. Not even the green light as before modding it, but it charges without a problem, the orange light can be seen.

Probably a cold solder point.
Make sure it's firmly soldered.

This is a FAT DS, right? If it was a LITE, you could solder the resistor to some points in the ribbon connector.

PS: I've used zener diodes instead and they works. Also 800/1000 ohms resistor works too.
