I got my DSTWO several days ago, and I tried out the new gba emulator plugin.
The first thing I noticed is that the game doesnt seem as responsive as it did when I used my GBA expansion pack with an m3 real card (sakura).

Now is my question; is there a way to run gba files without emulating them (using the gba expansion pack) in SCDSTWO?
If not, is there some setting that I can change that causes this slower reactions?

yep: here

It's SLOT-2 GBA

Edit: actually, I'm not sure if the M3 expansion pack will work, but it's worth a try

You can also raise the CPU frequency in the GBA emulator's settings, it makes games run smoother at the cost of draining more battery

Also, turn the frame skip to 0, and keep it on automatic

SLOT2_GBA is meant to boot a real game or flash card.
The expansion pack I use is for the slot1 card to load it into the slot2 ram.
So if I start SLOT2_GBA, nothing happens.

Thanks for your help though.

the m3 team made rudolph remove support for the m3 expansion packs. i don't know if he ever added it back in. you can probably find an old version of gba exploader that supports it but it won't have the latest bug fixes or gba save patches.

the scds2 only supports the 3in1 from what i remember. although to be honest i don't have an m3 expansion or the ewin expansion to test with when i wrote the review.

As far as I recall, M3 support was only ever removed for Slot-1, but I usually use my 3in1 with all non-M3 cards, and I am not sure that I even have the latest version.

Unless GBA Exploader supports M3 GBA, which I'm pretty sure it doesn't, you are left with no choice but to use M3 DS.
My M3 Perfect SD has always worked in Exploader, not sure what you're talking about (in fact, I was just using it to play Metroid Fusion yesterday). At the very least it definitely works on whatever the last version was. Actually, on my DSTwo I have it set as a plug-in, so it's nice and easy.

@Xdqwerty, Been there. Siblings are annoying, especially when they're young. My older sister annoyed me a lot when we were kids. Luckily she's an adult now so she's less immature lol

@K3Nv3, Paying your own rent > school imho, yes you actually have to work and do your stuff but you have way more freedom than you do as an high school student imho

@_Ruri_, My mother says i'm an irresponsible piece of shit who can't do anything well and has to depend most of the time of the others (well she doesnt say it exactly like that but thats how I interpret it)

@Xdqwerty, Damn, sorry you're living this situation. I don't know your mother but I had a pretty bad parent (father), stopped talking to him when I turned 18

@_Ruri_, my mother isnt bad per se but she can be temperamental

@_Ruri_, and my dad is quite chill compared to her

At least kids in school don't have to worry about adulting freedom really isn't as free as it sounds being an adult

  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
@Xdqwerty, Anyway, even if you have to depend on others is pretty normal for your age, you're still 15 so you have a lot of time ahead. I'm 20 and I'm learning to do things by myself at this age lmao. There are people who are more indipendent earlier and there are people who become more indipendent later, and there's nothing bad in it tbh

@K3Nv3, Yeah, one of the reasons I wanna find a decent job is to have more freedom in my life.

Yea I'd love to go back to not worrying about bills, live at parents home free, and get to goto school everyday and see all my friends.
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
@K3Nv3, Yeah, crime is risky. Worst thing about it is that even if you end up regretting it and putting in effort to become a better person it's still something that'll follow you for the rest of your life.
