Where can I find a good GBA emulator for R4i Gold PRO 2016 (from r4isdhc.com)? I already tried gbaemu4ds, but it gave an error whenever I was done configuring the emulation.

the only flashcard that allows you to emulate gba is supercard dstwo and gbaemu4ds is unplayable in most of carts.
Your only bet is either going with a 3ds homebrew gba emulator or a gba cia inject.
What's your FW version?

I have 11.0.0-33U, and when I used homebrew, I tried an GBA Emulator there, but it was very laggy, you could determine the frames.

try using mgba. If you're on 11.0, and don't like the mgba framerates, your only 2 bets are either getting a supercard dstwo(don't get it, it's not really worth it), or hardmod your 3ds , in order to downgrade it, and install cfw, or even a9lh https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki
