tl; dr the whole thread but

i'm pretty sure if the teeny stat boost on the SCDS2's CPU allowed the DS to emulate GBA then it'll be a breeze for the 3DS

That reminds me - there was a gba emulator for the DS that worked on normal flash carts, and it could run a few games at very playable speeds.

I think this was the one.

I think porting the latest VBA-M builds should work, compiled for ARM of course. The GBA is much easier to emulate than the SNES it seems, so I have high hopes for a GBA emulator popping up soon.

But if the GBA is easier to emulate than the SNES, wouldn't we have already seen something?
Everyone was holding their breath for GW to fix TWL_FIRM and AGB_FIRM, as if they did, then GBA games could easily be just run in GBA mode with the native code. As this was actually possible with GW, no one cared to make an emulator, as it seemed like a waste of time. Now that Ninjhax is out, there's an actually good reason to port or make a new emulator for the GBA, as TWL/AGB_FIRM is not a possibility to access through that exploit.

isnt it already possible to inject another rom in VC Roms by now?
Sure, that's easy, but that doesn't mean that TWL_FIRM or AGB_FIRM will actually start when you try to launch it. You can only actually boot VC games that run in FIRM-based emulators for the moment.
