Out of curiosity, Is this typical for GW and have we seen the site down for extended amounts of time like this before?

Guys it's not the first time Gateway website is down...
Each time this hapenned, it was not related to new updates even if each time it happens, guys seams to think an new update will be out.

Funny I just looked at my profile and switched the last two digits of my birth year during signup. Showing me as a 50 year old when I'm 20 years younger! And can't find a way to change it, so hidden it goes... lol
i think they just update the homepage and release the new update!
no i still get same cloudflare error
Cloudflare likely has DNS servers all over. My page redirects me to Chicago since it's the closest one to me.

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.
The issue is DRM -

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
