Hacking Gateway site update

Is it, I was doubting that too.
Kind of yeah. I mean, you're not booting into sysnand to get these features that gateway offers. You need the cart to load the ROM selection and the added functionalities that it brings. I'd say the cart is more like a passme tool.

Ha!You got me, still you understood what I said. Just try to make proper sentences to argue with me.
I'm trying to be as open-minded as possible. But if I can't simply understand because of your English. I'm sorry.

lol typos

Why defend a paid cfw?
Because it offers some added convenience. .3ds files are quicker, and when converted to use card 2 saves, it's more portable. While I do like having some games in .cia format, I think it's great for rom hacks (not only for using them, but especially for testing them). Free cfw's only do .cia files. Sure there's hans for rom hacks, but modified .3ds files are quicker to install, quicker to launch, and use half the space.

Not sure how is that defending them exactly.
The guy said it takes "an hour or more" while it clearly doesn't...

But ya, extracting the header can take more than 10 minutes, depending how much time it takes to dump the rom. However once you have, it takes 2 minutes exactly to inject it to all your roms. Of course there could be trial and error with certain roms, depending on the manufacturer byte.

Well, to that end, what I'd like to know is why we don't have a homebrew 3ds launcher. If that's part of the reason, I still can't justify throwing money out there. That's just me, though.

Should probably read what I actually quoted. Private headers are still an inconvenience nowadays. Cia, you install and forget about it.. 3ds, you have to inject a header with each new game and still run a risk. I don't quite care what people say, if Nintendo wants to start cracking down, all they have to do is look for the headers that are being used in multiple games.

why talking about money ?

I know, we need to pay to get it, but when you get it, you are happy

Not really, no. I've owned a gateway before. Not keen on the extra hardware required to do something that was originally based around piracy.

The gateway at least partially emulates a cartridge, so this would be difficult
what for when you could had easily cias, which are faster and more reliable?
How are they faster? The user you're quoting spend as much time patching multiple games as it would take to install one (maybe 2) cia file(s).

Lets just agree that no ones opinions matter even though they some how all matter and are above each others. Id love to read about if .3ds or .cia are better but more importantly, where tf is gateway atm? Snickering at you for arguing about this.

Yes, but I can install CIA's and walk away to do other, more important tasks. Patching does not allow this. Oo /s
