Think of BootMii. It's basically a piece of executable code to gain access to the kernel at the earliest boot level, allowing for faster and 100% accurate bootrates for CFW's. As well allowing CFW to be booted onto sysNAND.

well lets see what ageway delivers next....i actualy like my card for the *.3ds and cheating features. but better games i only installas cia these days, only shitti "play it once" games i do on the redcard anymore. thats why i just last weekend i switcht to a9hl, now i can autoboot emunand or use menuhax to run the gateway.

maybe gateway will release there new launcher with a free emunand option, and only lock the card related features
after all it would do them no harm because of all the cfw out there, maybe some people would even buy the gateway card afterwards to get the other features

Well its pretty safe, now the worst that happened to me is that Native Firm didnt downgrade so I had to run the downgrader again to finish the job. But I would suggest to downgrade ASAP before Nintendo rolls out a new system update and block the exploit in 10.7.

I thought that was because either their brick code may not be present (and could be used by the SuperCard team) , or that the brick code is not stable and could cause a brick at random.

i did downgrade the 3ds and the n3ds of a friend lately they were on 9.6.
it wasnt that hard......just nervfreking(sysdowner didnt start, or gave me the cia error) so even without gateway if you follow the tuts step by step you can get from 9.6 to 9.2 and from 9.2 to 2.1 for a9hl and back to 9.2

still if gateway releases a downgrader next week everyone who (semi)bricks there console now will bite themselfs in the ass

if you press and hold L while booting GW from menuhax, it will boot to GW menu
or, if you don't insert the Red card it will boot to GW menu.

You can use homebrew called uncart to dump your games.

It's probably just a stab at SKY, which was released much later than GW and is already on its 3rd revision.

GW cards haven't had a hardware revision yet.
