Hello everyone!

I just ordered gateway 3ds and used a noob guide to make it work. Apparently I cannot boot to the gatewaymode. I tried many times booting to the gwmode but it always said something like "sd card not found Im still on 4.5 though and I have original nand files. Is there any way to reset the whole process?

I can still run the gatewayinstaller from blue card but after that nothing works (I also tried different sdcard)

Noob

Try running the gateway installer from the blue card again then make sure you don't boot any NDS games after running the installer (flash card or retail)

Also just double check the launcher.dat is on the Big SD that goes directly in the 3ds not the micro sd that goes in the gateway card

I would redownload the GW files and format both the SD from the 3ds and the mSD from the blue card to make sure that the fault doesn't lie with the storage devices or your copies of Launcher.dat/GW_Installer.nds.

EDIT: Also, learn to use the edit function of the forum instead of triple-posting.

okey, now it boots to gateway menu but when I try to boot to gateway mode it says:

"NO gateway 3ds card found! Please insert the gateway 3ds card to boot into gateway mode. Press A to close this message." I tried to copy a rom with disk32imagewriter to a microsd and put it to red gatewaycard but my 3ds doesnt recognize it.

So I dont know how to get to the gateway mode!

I tried to have blue (and red) card in and if i press gateway mode, the console goes to home screen but when I go check which firmware im on it says 4.5.0. (so no gw3ds mark)

Gateway Omega doesn't read mSD's written with disk32imagewriter anymore. Instead it reads mSD's formatted to FAT32 or exFAT with the .3ds files on the root of the mSD.

When you get that message again, insert the red card WITHOUT a mSD in it. Chances are that your red card hasn't had its FPGA updated.

EDIT: I can't believe it hasn't been asked yet, but it definitely deserves mentioning. Did you buy it from a reseller either listed on the Gateway page itself or one of the sites that GBATemp members have vouched for? Count the pins on the back of the card from the left. If the 8th pin is NOT longer than those around it, then you've got a fake GW.

Actually, it does read the game when using disk32imagewriter but why would you do that? ;)
You will see it as "RAW" in the list of games (of course you will only see one) and you can load and play the game just fine.

The 8th pin is shorter. I bought it from cymods. So its fake?
Unfortunately, yes.

EDIT: This thread pretty much sums up the differences between the real and fakes.

Didn't know that as I immediately deleted disk32imagewriter as soon as Omega was released. :P

try running b1 or 1.2 to make sure the actual card is working, then if it is still not showing up on omega FW......idk thats what happens with the fakes

If you come across this message again, check if the Gateway red cart's LED light is On - if it is on, just eject the red cart and reinsert the red cart to make the LED light go away...... I experience this problem myself.
