I've emailed them to let them know they can use filetrip as a host without worrying about their stuff getting taken down.

yeah I noticed that too when i was looking for their manuals with a question i got. I would really like to know if it is ok for me to play a game with firmware 5.0 as stated on this page http://3ds.essh.co/

let's say I want to play rune factory 4, us. Is it safe for me to play it hen. I got gateway ver 1.2?

Yes you can play that fine with gateway 1.2 since it have firmware spoofing
