Hacking Gateway Emunand Question

Hi I have a gateway Card on a old 3ds and I haven´t updated it since the 9.2 gateway release and now i wanted to be able update my emunand to the latest firmware and I would like to know exactly what do i need to do, do i only need to update the LAUNCER.dat on my SD Card or do i need to do something else.
