Hacking Gateway Downgrade Help

For the op, if you can't downgrade to 4.5 you could upgrade to 9. 2 and use menuhax or downgrade the mset for it to behave like the 4.5, don't listen to them that tell you get rid of your gateway, I would recommend using the Plailect guide to have arm9 because sometimes it will fail to load the gateway with menuhax or the ds profile way, I use arm9 with my gateway and I'm very happy with that setup, 4.5 is not that good because of the save encryption that was updated in 7, so any originals with that encryption will work on your console but the save will be corrupted when used on another console

Yes I read yours, but sometimes arm9 is not everyone because of the steps involved, the issue was the bombardment of use Luma and throw away your card people, your advice was very good and I seconded it, but menuhax or downgraded mset maybe is the right thing for the op

Ah alright and I agree although if anything steps are easier just a bit lengthy. I think he'll thank us if he gets arm9

My sysNand is currently on 6.0.0-12U and I am trying to downgrade with the Gateway Downgrade function. I already backed up my nand on my computer and the nand.bin is also on the sd card. I have launcher.dat and the US gateway.dg (Which has the correct MD5) on my sd card also. When I go to go.gateway-3ds.com and choose downgrade your 3ds, it says, "Detected Region: USA Sorry, downgrading is not yet supported for your console." Does anyone know if I'm doing anything wrong? Or is firmware 6.0 not downgradable?

I highly recommend NOT using anything from gateway that involves installing to NAND, including their downgrade software.
What I do know is that you most likely want to downgrade to 4.5 for the MSET exploit, which if that is true I know for certain you can merely downgrade ONLY the MSET and you will be able to run the MSET exploit from there. I did this a while back on 9.x with a 4.5 downgraded MSET.

I just followed the guide that VinAnator linked. It works fine. When I boot I hold down and when Im in home menu, I use quick reboot.
