This is cool and all... but why not make them for the MicroSD's themselves? The cards take much less space that way.

This all depends on what DPI you print it at. He needs to know the DPI setting as well.

If it helps, I found it on amazon, the seller is SDCardholder or something similar.

Now I feel like I hijacked your thread. Sorry. I had fun making this as well.

For dimension reference. That little slit where I put my label is 5.5x1.8cm

manhsoi What did I resize? I'm not sure what you're talking about.

It's cool no worries you actually gave me some inspiration I'm going to get my hands on this Mirco Sd holder LINK and still be able to use the covers I made...
Just gotta work on the dimensions but I think it'll work :)

Here's a sample image

I wanted that one too, but I had 10 games. Good to know someone will use that one.

Oh yeah, bluejon you should share your template as well. that would be nice.

I also give permission to put up my template on your OP

As I said, the dimensions of the slit is 5.5x1.8cm

The template covers are 1mm spacing and are 1.0x0.85cm

Dont have a gateway yet but im really liking what you guys are doing, Ninditsu and Bluejon.
Was planning one using just one sd card and switching games in and out, since i usually only play one game at a time.
But im definitely reconsidering now and might get that sd card holder with some cheap 2-4gb microsds.

Any covers you guys eventually use, can you put them up on the main post.
Will love to snag some premade covers in the future.

Thanks.

So I got the DiMeCard one. How would I go about printing these images and placing them on the hold? Like what kind of paper would I need and all that?

It depends if you want a matte or glossy finish some office supplies stores sell them.

Staples just sells matte sticker paper from what I know which is not glossy
http://www.staples.com/Staples-Sticker-Paper/product_490429
LD sells glossy sticker paper
http://www.ldproducts.com/Paper/OEM/Paper-Product/HYPSTICK100/1238-Product.html

You could try places like
Staples, Sears, Kmart, Walmart, Amazon any where that sells office supplies.
Just look for Sticker paper that can work with your printer if its inkjet and/or laser.

I suggest using a program that can automatically convert the physical measurements to pixels. I used photoshop to create and print.

I'm not too informed on how ppi (pixel per inch) comes into consideration when printing photos. But I have a regular resolution inkjet printer (not a professional photo printer).

As you can see by my vocabulary on the topic, I can't really tell you how to do this. I suggest playing around with the settings if it doesn't work for you right away. But I can say, try printing as is and full resolution. It wouldn't hurt.

*LATEST UPDATE* 9/5/2013

Thank to ninditsu for inspiring me I'm now going to get my hands on this Micro SD Card Holder and continue designing the covers.

Also with ninditsu way
He had demonstrated that you could use this Micro SD Card Holder which allows up to 10 games to hold. Putting the covers of the games in between.

Hi everyone so I've recently received my Gateway 3DS and I honestly think its really cool.
I've gotten a lot of inspiration and began to design mini covers for the SD card Adapters which holds micro SD cards. As we all know at the moment Gateway 3DS can only run one game at a time, so I've decided to have a little fun with it. I'm planning to print them out soon so I'll take some photos in the near future.

For the ones that might say:

"Why don't you just buy the games? They have covers on them anyways?"
Answer: I own these games already and I prefer to have them in a small compact case
or
"There's already cases that are made for 3DS games use that instead?
Answer AGAIN: I prefer to have them in a small compact case

Hope you like it and let me know what you think?

Awesome covers will they be in Shoptemp but i'm hoping someone out there in the scene will eliminate the need for carrying multiple sd cards on GateWay it may be a while but there is hope.
