Hacking gateway 3ds cart questions

I used to use my gateway card, but now have cfw on my 3ds so am thinking of selling it, my questions are.

Does the gw need to be updated.
Which 3ds firmware does it need.
Do you have to downgrade your 3ds.

if someone bought it on firmware 11 would it work.

i have checked some of the posts on here but it seems to get a bit confusing

If a console can work with CFW, it can work with Gateway. If it can work with CFW, it can work with Gateway. The methods are the same.

<9.2, 9.3-10.6, 10.7, 11.0/11.1 and 11.2 all have their different hoops to jump through and they're pretty much the same whether you want CFW or Gateway.
