Hacking Gateway 3DS Availability

for those who ordered through cymods, does the tracking info ever get updated? I ordered last sunday, the tracking said shipped on monday, but pretty much no updates since then.

edit: actually, tracking worked on my local post office website, they received it yesterday, so should probably receive it this week sometime. not bad, 1.5 weeks.

It seems buygateway3ds.com is dodgy, gateway was posted on sunday which their website says is sent first class, still not recieved. The website doesnt work for me now unless I use a proxy so I am guessing they have IP banned me need to change and check if true. I really hope im wrong and my package shows but i'm doubting more everyday. An official reseller aswell.

Hello, long time listener, first time caller etc.

Did anyone order from teensy recently? The site showed gateway was out of stock about three weeks ago and I got a prompt reply saying they were waiting stock about by 20-22/9. The option to order Gateway reappeared, I ordered two weeks ago and the order is still processing. I asked about the status of my order and if they had had stock delivered, but I got no reply either when I replied to the mail they sent me (some time ago) or when I used the contact form three business days ago. Probably out of stock, but are they replying to anyone else?

They said that the issue is now solved. I ordered just now another Gateway from Cymods for my little brother.

Sweet! I just ordered too, using the mid-tier shipping method as 24 is a bit much just to get it next week.

Hopefully they send it right away and I don't have to do another dispute on my credit card...

Heh, you should not even be disputing until at least 45 days have passed. Shipping will take a while unless you pay a bit more for an upgraded tiering. Fourteen days is not a long enough time to wait.

Naw, I only disputed the other one because they didn't ship it out within 2 weeks of waiting and never replied to me. Eventually they said "Yes, thanks for the pre-order" while I boldly and straightforwardly asked before if they had them in stock. They had said yes.

I wasn't going to wait another month or two just for them to SHIP the thing. These guys say they ship within 24 hours. I'll give them over the weekend to get me a tracking number. As soon as the tracking number proves they shipped it out, I'll be happy

Most of the time it simply involves reading the fine fine print in the description. The description usually would have said, out of stock or on backorder. It's tiny by the way. Most sites don't flat out tell the honest to god truth sometimes, but the item description is absolutely huge in cases like this.

Cymods already updated their Gateway 3DS stock with 1 less than what it was at after my order, so it already looks more legit. I'm excited for this thing, especially with the latest update they're releasing!

Thanks man. By the way, the Gateway, if you have the proper firmwares, is a fantastic little device. I got mine sent as a review unit, and I ran enough tests to make me sick, but it's a worthwhile purchase. Best of luck in having the unit arrive safely.

Has the merchant responded to you yet? Other than saying it's a video game, you can just be honest. If they lied about it being in stock, or lied about shipping it out (If they DID give you a tracking number, it's definitely out of the Merchant's hands now)

I just sold my DSi XL for Gateway money (lol) and am now slightly discouraged after reading some of the more recent pages in this thread. I really don't want to wait weeks or even months for my order if I were to get one. I think I'll wait it out for now and get a DSTWO so I can at least play DS games while I wait for the demand to die down a little bit, which should increase stock/availability. Ideally, I want to be able to order from a US retailer and receive my package in a reasonable amount of time. Doesn't look like that's gonna happen soon. Just sucks because I have high hopes for Link Between Worlds and Pokémon X/Y being playable on Gateway soon after their launch. Probably getting my hopes up, but still

Basically it has been over two weeks and I still have not received anything. Since they directed me to another site to pay for some stupid thing which was 13$, they changed the price to 60 $ in order to match the price of my order(DSTwo). Now they are not answering any of my email and I want to tell me CC company that they overcharged me for that 13$ product and did not send it either . Although I payed using paypal so I don't know how will that effect my situation. Should I file a complaint first through paypal?

I remember someone in USA saying they ordered from cymods and received it in two weeks. I suggest you contact them and ask about delivery to USA.

That was me. I ordered on a thursday and the next day the status said "canceled". I shot them an email asking why and when I would get the refund and a few hours later I got an email saying a new order was created and the status was shipped. About a week and a half later, I got my Gateway (or rather a note from USPS saying my signature was required. Signed the slip and stuck it back in my mailbox and got it the next day) in the mail. I highly recommend them but then again, that is the only thing I have bough from them. But hey, first impressions are important!

Ye, I've gave them an email basically asking why it takes more than 4 days for a first class parcel to arrive. Also, I noticed in a email they sent me they spelt there own website name wrong. (http://www.buygteway3ds.com) Sorry to be the bearer of bad news guys but id be prepared to do a chargeback on your card. If nothing shows tomorrow ill be sending gateway an email aswell to make sure there took of the reseller list.

I ordered from cymods and it's shipped, I got the mid-tier "Registered Mail" for 8 bucks.

No tracking what so ever from buygateway3ds.com. You would think on a product where the profit is small they would send some form of tracking like everyone else. Can anyone else who have ordered from them try going on the website. If it doesn't load the website could you try through a proxy, I think they are blocking the IP's of anyone who bought from them.
