Hacking Gateway 3ds and DLC

I know many games have DLC on the 3ds

Does anyone know if the gateway is capable of running a game such as dead or alive and use the dlc on the sd card ?

Is this still the case? Why? Is it detected or a firmware issue? What if you purchase the DLC with an official game and later use gateway 3ds?

You can use game updates from eshop so it's strange that people are saying you can't use dlcs. I know there are some applications from eshop that require 7.0 keys which gateway doesn't have (pokebank for example) so you can't run those.

are the people here talking from fact/experience?
even if you have dlc/a game update on your system, before you updated to 4.5 or whilst you could access the shop then, and you use the corresponding game with gateway, it WON'T work?

I couldn't get the dlc for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, it was just saying "an error occured, please check your wifi connection" or something like that. Wifi was on and working though.

E: This was using a "copy" of the game though, which we kind of know doesn't work.

Hmmm, for me it worked.
I downloaded Fire Emlbem Awakening and could download/access all the DLC.
Of course I needed to buy the dlc but not that bad because the game was for free.
Running from Emonand 7.1. sys nand is 4.3

What about now? what will happend if I launch pokemon 1.2.3DS under gateway 2.3B?

i tried in conception II it works fine
make sure you use retail cart or a rom in .3dz format with a header
