I'm in 9.4 emuNAND trying to buy a theme through the themes shop. A message popped up that says "An update is available for content that you have previously downloaded. Do you want to update now? You won't be able to acquire later updates or DLC for this content until you perform this update."

Is it save to install this update?

I'm assuming it's for a game and not a fw update. In that case, it is safe to update.

Quick question. If I were to buy a game on eShop while on emuNAND (Why? Because I don't friggin know?), would this download move to the sysNAND too?

Did you de-link your sys/emunands? If yes, then no it won't apply to the sysNAND. If no, then yes, it will apply to the sysNAND. It's that simple.

1st: You're on emunand.
2nd: Thats a themes extra file. No harm updating it.

Do you have sysnand 4,5 already?

If so. The those are the correct steps.
If you have 5.0-9.2 then downgrade is recommended but not mandatory.

My recommendation is get your gw and play a few games while you get more experience in gw. Don't go upgrade/downgrade right away if it's not necessary bc chances are you are going to do something wrong.

Edit. Lol didn't notice that post was a little old

I believe you have to make some change after you unwrap them. Try making a new folder or something so it saves all changes

I know it's probably been answered a million times, but how do I stop my CIAs from being giftwrapped every time I load up emunand? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

It's either as phanteon suggested, or you format your SysNAND.

Seriously, don't try it unless you've got a clear idea what you're doing.

Separate EmuNAND from SysNAND.
Format either of your NANDs with your SD card taken out. It asks to connect to the internet, but i confirm it DOES NOT update your console. After that, you should be good. might have to fiddle around with some NNID settings to get the eShop working again.
