Additions, it is not a functionality.

I define functionality as: online play, cheat function, turbo mode, save states etc.
Things as support for 4.5-9.2 is not a functionality.

Well what else would you want? I mean I have everything I need! RTS would be nice and thats it!

I kinda don't want cheats, Powersaves does it and has affected Pokemon online.

Save states would be a good feature though.

Just to be sure, but we won't need to buy another Gateway card for N3DS right?
(Already order one for old 3ds 9.2~ from yeahgeek)

I'm still waiting for n3DS support but am passing the time playing DS games on the blue card (just got my Gateway today :P).
Anyone try this?
It would be great to waste time on my New 3DS while waiting for Gateway update.

and I got my tracking number :P and people still waiting for GW.
In less than week I'll enjoy playing my N3DS

It works just like any other DS Mode flashcart. Put the firmware files on there, your .nds dumps (or ones you've downloaded), and you're good to go. ツ

Edit: Should probably mention I'm using my DSi XL for the blue card... oops. I believe it's blocked on newer firmwares, I haven't tried it in my actual n3DS yet.

Ouch, Just to be sure, we can still used Gateway 2.7 with N3DS to play New 3ds games right?

The current beta is only for Classic 3DS (non-NEW) models.

Sadly for those wishing New 3DS will have to wait a bit, current ETA is less then a week for full support.

As like you notice the 'browser' exploit does not work on the New 3DS, it forces you to update first, which of course we don't want.

So you will have to wait until final glitchs are solved in the Mii Maker Exploit as shown in earlier videos and previous guides.

This is being worked on every minute of the day, and once everything is solid a new release will be done with New 3DS support.

Stay tuned, it not been easy the last 72 hours been rough for all of us, even me I am still awake now on my 60th hour, really need to crash soon.

Thanks for your Patience but New 3DS is Coming Soon.

Gary,

I feel you on the deprived sleep. Had that going for 4 days myself during the week of GW's release. I had to say that Sunday when I saw the release it did make my day alot better because I was playing A Link Between Worlds. It really took my mind off work for a bit but it was a relief savior for my brain.

Anyone here use a Chromebook for their 3ds dirty work? Was wondering if its perfectly capable of doing these tasks like downloading roms, formatting sd cards, ect ect. (idk about injecting headers probably not) Old LOUD shit laptop here and was hoping to scrap it for a nice, silent chromebook as they cover most tasks needed for me.. Can still keep laptop on backup of course but would love to not touch it and maintain the 3ds with the chromebook. Anyone using one lemme know!

Has anyone tried updating the firmware on their Gateway blue card to support DS ROMs above v4.5? I don't see why it wouldn't work...

Alright guys.. how do i play pokemon omega/alpha online? Do i need some kind of DLC for it in .cia?

If you ripped it yourself using Gateway, then you should be good to go. If you downloaded it illegally, then you need to probably need to add a valid header to it in order to play online. Just Google it, there's dozens of guides. Just know that if you use a header from a different game, or use the same header as someone else, you risk getting your console banned from online play. Nintendo hasn't done it yet, but they are capable of it.

As for the updates, you can either download the updates as .cia and install using BigBlueMenu, or you can just grab them from the eshop using emuNAND. The 3DS will ask you to update the game when you try to launch it.

9.3 was released 2 months before the N3DS hits other regions. I'm pretty sure that's enough time for Nintendo to patch all of the manu'd consoles before shipping them to retailers. And I can realistically see them going through that hassle in order to ensure Gateway won't run on N3DS. They may ship with <9.3, but I wouldn't expect it... At least there is work being done on cross-region emuNAND, so importing a JP or AU N3DS is possible if NA/EU ships with 9.3.

If they didnt bother to update the Ambassador consoles I wouldnt be so sure. Im still very optimistic on a 9.2 or lower release. Usually when I have a feeling its mostly right! :gba:

EDIT: some should ask those a holes at IGN what firmware did they get their console with :tpi:

MY gateways came today..... (I am holding off on using mine as I ordered a N3ds to use - jap version)

MY current 3ds is on 9.2 (which is my kids not mine)

Should I or DO I, have to downgrade?

I basically want to get some roms on a SD card.
I think emunand would be a good idea - updated to 9.2.
I think if I have to downgrade I should restore sysnamd back to 9.2 when done?
This is not my system it is my kids.. he plays retail carts and has Mario 3d, pokeymon OR, kirby, and batman lego.
I assume all these games since they are only a year old or so they all run on 6.0 or greater so 9.2 would be advised?

Where do i start?

Thanks in advance

It is not necessary to downgrade. Only benefits are being able to boot into Gateway mode without needing an internet connection. You should actually keep your system in the latest version since you can use classic mode with those cards, since older firmwares couldn't use the newer encryption.
Also, may I ask how you updated emuNAND to 9.2 without having a red card in your possession?

I think you misunderstood him. His system is on 9.2 and he thinks his emunand should be updated to 9.2 when he does set it up. At least that's how I read it.

Comp1demon, when you create an emunand it is a copy of your current Sysnand. So your emunand will be 9.2 you can upgrade that to the 9.4 so you can access eshop for updates or DLC. You will absolutely need to keep yor sysnand at 9.2 or downgrade if you desire but will lose your retail cart game saves. Roms installed to the SD card are cia and 3ds or 3dz to the mSD in the gateway.

I did not.. I meant "I think emunand would be a good idea" - would be a good idea to install and use an emunand, and "updated to 9.2" I really should have said Updated to 9.4. I was asking a questions basically..
I was asking if emunand updated to 9.4 was a good idea for this 3ds..

So basically I should dump my 9.2 nand and back it up to the PC, that way if I accidentally update sysnand to 9.4 I can use the Hardware mod and restore it to 9.2.
I assume I can make a EMUNAND using 9.2 and it would be 9.2 when done but then I would update emunand to 9.4 correct?

Once that is done I can use the gateway to play Roms from the redcard and I also use retail 3ds carts?
DO I have to reset the exploit when I play retail carts?

IF I downgrade 9.2 to 4.5 and then upgrade back to 9.2 will my game saves still go corrupt?
