Don't take people's silence as confirmation that it's safe haha. I did it without a nand mod but with all of the equipment right near me and the skills to nand mod, but

I did it without a nand mod, it worked easily, I had a link between worlds 3ds XL running 9.2 if anyone was wondering.

Let me first apologize for the noobish questions but i have two.......

1) If my kids deleted the back up of my nand from my pc im i screwed? i already installed the gateway sysnand on my 9.2 3dsxl

2)what is the benifete of downgrading back to 4.5

thank you again for the help

1. no you're not screwed, and just incase put a password on it and put it in a winRAR archive
2.) Only one benefit of downgrading to 4.5, and that's being able to use the exploit offline.

how can i go about re downloading my orignal nand again?

The fact that Gateway put out the next update in less than 24 hours gives me hope for a fairly quick n3ds udpate. Considering they said it was just rushed out to stop people whinging seems true, because surely they would have just waited a day more if they could and put the downgrades in the first 3.0 version. Fingers crossed for n3ds xD

GaryOPA stated a release date of a week, so expect it next weekend :)

I agree with this, and the proof is that 3 stage rocket picture, because the capsule (which we have now) forms a small part of the rocket, and the other two stages (downgrade and N3ds support) are way bigger. So it'll probably take 1 year for N3DS support to come out.
That picture is not from Gateway. It was made my a member. It's kinda like a joke. Sheesh relax guys. It will get here when it does. Can't speed up time or make it go any faster. If you want to use your gateway right this second, head to your local gamestore and buy a 3ds on 9.2 or lower. At least now they load on newer firmwares. There are alot of us that have been using <4.5 co nsoles for a long time. The biggest stress was fearing someone picking up our priceless <4.5 console and updating it on us. This is a huge, no I mean really huge, step forward.

Well it's obvious why GW did what they did. As proved in the 1000+ page gatewait thread, GW only cares about money. There are a lot more regular 3DS customers => more sales, so GW release update for them first
OMG, god forbid that a retail company actually care about making a profit! If it were your company and they made decisions that did not increase profits you would fire the entire management team. They are in business to mqake money. They are not a charity. Their sole purpose as a company is to make money. I just wish it were my company, heh. I would love to be cashing the checks that their owners are right now.

So... 2 questions to anyone. If i downgrade to 4.5, are there then 2 exploit options available to me? (Browser exploit & OG ds exploit) And second, is the original exploit a one time thing with the blue card in and then can be triggered thereafter with the red? Or do you have to lug around the blue cart everywhere you go and pop that sucker before switching to the red every time?

its a 1 time thing unless you load a DS game

Hey guys, just asking, but has there been any reports about downgrading a 2DS as of yet?

From what I know, it cannot be done due to the stock fw of a 2DS being not 4.0 and/or that it does not have a physical wifi switch.

If you are on 4.5 (or the 4.2 downgrade) you can do the 1 time exploit with the blue card. After that you dont need the blue card with you. Unless you launch a DS rom, then it wipes the exploit. However, you can still launch the web exploit if you have internet. Until you get back to your Blue Card.
