Hello! I'm here primarily to learn how to relive childhood gaming memories via emulation, using my own files. I've learned so far that it can be a complex process, but have managed to get many games running on a retro handheld. I'll be asking questions related to getting even more on there from the systems I own.

This seems like a great forum -- it looks to have an extreme amount of both breadth and depth in its content. I hope it keeps going for a long time!

Nah, it's mostly entitled brats leaching off of programmers who grace this site. This used to be a piracy site, now everyone pretends it isn't.

Well, I hope I don't contribute to anything that's bugging you. Finding ROMs online doesn't seem difficult. I'm more the type that wants procedural knowledge -- "how do I do it?" Plus, I regard less illegitimate means as more desirable. But it's been over a decade since I did any significant coding, and that was during my undergrad years. I'm not opposed to a little tinkering with code, but I don't have the time or desire to (re)learn a whole bunch just for emulation purposes. If it came to that, I would likely just stop wherever I'm at, as far as emulation goes.
