Hacking Gamma Loader -> NeoGamma?

My Wii has been packed away for almost a year now and I am looking to get it up to speed. I have Gamma .3 Loader, and very outdated software.

Can anyone help me with some simple instructions? E.g. What do I need to update to safely update my Wii? Do I need to install a new cIOS? What order do I install things in? Any basic help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, the 'Modify any Wii 4.2 & Below' is a great thread, I have used that on many Wii's and never a problem.
I would suggest using that one.

That post was decent...I'm at system version 4.2U. Now I run the bannerbomber and it freezes before allowing me to even load it and crash the wii. Any ideas?

if you're on 4.2 and use the 4.2 version of bannerbomb, hit the SD Card Icon and then insert the card.
