Homebrew gamma backkup loader question

First offf I'm on wii system menu 3.3U

I tried to install gamma back up loader on my wii, but when it tried to establish a network, it couldn't...because I don't have wifi.

Do I really need internet to install it or is there another way?

Or do I need to downgrade my wii?

Should I use Waninko's back up loader instead (didn't he stop supporting that in beta)


And then I should be set for making disc with texture hacks right?

You have to download everything needed from the nintendo servers and put them on to the sd card. I believe you can find the links needed on your own?

I am assuming when you say install, you are talking about the CIOS rather than Gamma.

If so, just search for Waninkoko's CIOS36 Rev 8 as it needs to internet connection, put gamma on your SD card and Bob's your uncle.
