Out of all of the gaming controllers out there for PC, both wired and wireless, which one's would you say are the best one's out there? I have tried a wired controller, years back, but I want to update to a wireless controller, I've seen a lot of different one's from the one's that charge themselves, to other's that work with this device, that device, etc. Others do other options, like have this attachment that can hold your phone or tablet and lets you play games with the controler/tablet/phone and your computer etc. I want to play games using that Steam system for the controller and gaming.

Wait for the new bluetooth xb1 controllers

But if you want something on the cheap, wireless 360 controller + a third party dongle

Only reason you want to use a wired controller is if you are a competitive player and want no latency with your button input. Even if you are into Fighters there are fight sticks that do the job better.

For retro gaming use my NES30 or SNES30, for playing on Dolphin I use my GameCube controller using the official adapter that came with super smash bros for Wii U. Any other PC games I use my Wii U pro controller.

I've been sticking to my Logitech gamepads (F310 and F710) and they're solid gamepads for the price. Unless you want to spend $100+ on a gamepad, I'd recommend one of those. The only complaint I have is the F310 lacks force-feedback.

Personally I use a DS3 controller cause my friend gave it to me for free :rofl2:

'Scp toolkit' is a pretty good free software that allows DS3 and DS4 controllers to emulate an Xbox controller with 100% support. Wired and wirelessly(?)

For anything and everything on my PC, I simply use the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller For Windows. I bought that and it came with the wireless USB dongle.

One of my friends has the Xbox One controller with it's wireless USB dongle. I would personally recommend the Xbox One controller with the wireless USB dongle :)

Yes, that controller is nice.
The controller works on android and ios with bluetooth and on pc with steam offically cause of the xinput built in, So you can simply plug and play into pc. It comes with a wireless adapter that allows wireless when you aren't charging, It also works as a ps3 controller Or a stand alone hid Controller for some other stuff. :yayps3::yayone:

Also you think with ps3 and xbox 360 support it would work on PS4 or xbox one, but i wouldn't know cause i don't have those to test myself.

Yes it does work with nintendon't it also works with HID2WIIU Gamepad homebrew And it does work with emulators, If you have the wii emulators that support the hid/PS3 contoller it does work just fine. Snes9sGX Fceultra GX VBAGX And Genesis plus GX all work. :)

I am back to thinking about buying one of these controllers but not sure on which one to go with or how much the price is worth when buying it ya know? Which is the best of the best out of gaming controllers?

Get the Xbox One or PS4 controller. They have by far the compatibility on any PC platform as the X1 is the defacto standard while the PS4 provides a good alternative with increasing support. Also I've yet to break any of them I've owned (still rocking a 360 wireless)

Wired because I can't be arsed with batteries and the only reason I have not got a video input wired into my brain is because nobody has made a good one yet.

Wired for life.

Not to mention no input delay. :D
Of all the shortcomings of wireless controllers that one seems rather overblown from where I sit. It is certainly possible if you go with some fly by night Chinesium supplier but go with anything made by a company with an actual stake in things and it is fine.
