Ever replayed an old favourite game in a different way to make it challenging and new again?

For instance, playing Pokemon with just 1 specific type or 1 Pokemon instead of 6, and see how far you can get or even try and beat the game.
Playing without getting certain items, backtracking, or without pressing a specific button.
Fighting your opponents with 1 Kick or Punch button only, or not doing special moves.

I recently finished playing Super Mario Advance 2 - Super Mario World and I challenged myself to do 48 exits with Mario and 48 exits with Luigi. Took me 5 hours just because Luigi's controls are awful in that game. Normally wouldn't take me more than 3.

What's that gaming challenge you've done with your favourite games?
Let us know, maybe you'll find a new challenge!

Beating dark souls with a weird build is always fun for me but I don't really know if it counts

I love the Fallout games, and I will go back and replay them often, but I always go with different factions to mix it up. Or load different mods to make it a lil different each time thru.

Worms: single weapon only. "Prod" was hell.
Fallout: max charisma, Kama Sutra perk, fuck your way through the game.
Resident Evil 4: bazooka only.
