One of the items was just a USB hub? Jeez they must've really been having a hard time coming up with product ideas.
The rest seem like fairly normal accessories... Well, the keyboard's kinda pointless cause you can just plug in any old USB keyboard.

The SharkDrive is just a USB floppy drive, nothing special. USB storage is already supported on PS2, you could plug in any old flash drive, but this might've been before flash storage became affordable. So floppy disks might've made more sense. On 16-bit consoles it was common to see ROM loaders/backup tools and such that used floppy disks. Feels odd seeing them on a PS2 though. But I guess it was way back in the early 00s, I was still using floppy disks back then.

The SharkDrive was never released, and also that's a photo of an iOmega ZIP 100 drive (in particular, the USB variant). I guess originally they were planning on releasing a disk drive expansion similar to the Datel Memory Disk Drive, but it never came to fruition, as it would've likely been too expensive to produce and that most people have moved onto CD-R's.

Action Replay MAX on the other hand, inside the IRX files, the USB driver contains mentions of iOmega ZIP, so it is most likely compatible with the USB ZIP drive; however, I personally never tried using it on my PS2, but it should work just like any ordinary removable disk. Don't expect it to read any faster though beyond USB 1.1 standards.

What could you actually load from a usb drive? I know there is a floppy drive for game saves for the ps1. It would have been cool to load small games like wii ware for the wii.

Why'd you want to load games off USB? Read/write speeds are by far the most slowest on USB 1.1. It's only useful for loading homebrew applications and nothing else. Installing a HDD or SSD using the official Sony HDD adapter is by far the better option; however, this cannot be done on anything beyond the slim models. On the SCPH-70xxx slims, technically it's possible, but this requires soldering an excessive amount of wires to be able to do this as they removed the expansion connector for the HDD, but not the bus.

What nostalgia! It's been a long time since I've seen one of these. Nowadays, we download one cheat file per game. I even wish I had my PS2 back now.
