So, my DS got thrown around by these little kids when I wasn't paying attention and the top screen ended up cracked. Half of the right side of it can't be seen. I'm wondering if there are any games that require mainly the bottom screen?

I saw Castlevania, Picross (not sure if you need the top screen for it) and Mario and Luigi Partners in Time. Are there any others you guys recommend?

Regarding mario - if you mean New Super Mario Bros. - too bad, as most of the game (besides in pipes and minigames) is top screen. Mario & Luigi utilizes both screen most of the game.
As far as I remember Castlevania uses top screen mostly for statistics/map so should be quite playable, if a bit annoying.

Picross is completely playable on bottom scree only as top screen is used mostly for final image preview.

Other games I can think of that use mostly bottom screen:
* EBA/Ouendan/Nodame Cantible - Though you'll miss story/score/"health" (though in Nodame it doesn't seem to matter much)
* Puzzle Quest - During puzzles screens can be switched by holding R or L, if dunno about story mode screens or advanced features (cities or stuff)
* Piku Piku - Same as picross, top screen is used to show solution only
* Platinum sudoko - If you don't need ingame hints this shouldn't be a problem

Can't think of anything more, will let you know if something comes to mind

Thanks JohnoBoy and Xeijin for your advices!

I meant Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, yeah it does use both screens but I've managed to get through parts of the game without it. Getting a new DS soon, this time a Lite. Just need a few games to entertain me for the time being. I hope the final preview in Picross isn't too necessary looks like a fun game but seems hard without any preview.

I'll check out the games you listed, thank you again.

Edit: Does anyone know of a homebrew that'll let you screen the two screens during play? Back and forth. So, if I'm playing Mario Kart, I can switch the top for the bottom because it's just a map and whenever I need to use the touch screen I switch it back?

Yeah, on GameFAQ's. Keeping track of where you are will be a pain in the ass but I suppose it's better than nothing.

Tetris DS has many modes that do not require the top screen. And yes Plants vs Zombies DS, too...
