Here's the thing, all of the problems you describe are exactly what people are having with the bad batch of Acekard 2.1's.
Those people are resorting to using Official 4.07 which you can download from http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=2445 Try using that with the game you had an issue saving with, but delete the save first.
If that works try it with 4.08 which you can download from http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=2753 again delete the save first. Check that the game can save, restart the DS and see if the game will then load your save.

If 4.07 works and 4.08 doesn't, let us know.

Will your Acekard 2i run the firmware update to completion? and do you see the Danny Phantom Logo in your DSi's XL menu?

i have tried 4.07 and 4.08 they both just say missing system file

and 4.18 works but wont save

i guess its not my dsi xl that has a problem saving it saves pictures so that means the problem was not buying a cheap dsi xl, right?

im probably gonna be up all night trying every version of both loaders

"missing system file" is normally a configuration error, normally a missing akmenu4.nds. Try formatting the MicroSD card again, then extracting the Official 4.07 archive to the root directory, ensure akmenu4.nds and __ak2 are present in the root directory. If it still doesn't work, try the earlier versions of 4.07

lots of people having this problem are using the 4.07_a15
like you told me to bu still having proplems with it saving some games and also not saving settings for apps

i cant even get anything below 4.21 to star on my dsi xl
the 4.07 a15, 4.08 and every official version besides 4.21 just say missing system file

i see its been over a month for some and no new official update release

so im gonna buy a different what is a good card??

I bought a M3i zero for $22.50 from 4coolday
free shipping

4coolday was cheaper than most other sites because other sites were charging for shipping.
