Hacking Games Missing on 6.72 JB PS4

Hi all,

One thing weird happened to me today, all in the sudden all my ps4 games are missing from both my internal hdd and external hdd, albeit showing on both hard disks the correct free hdd space like having all games installed, but the console doesn't show a single one, why doesn't ps4 recognize my games, is there a quick fix to this?

does the db rebuilder still have the same problem as before where games become undeleteable unless you modify the app.db? speaking of which, you should always make a copy of your app.db. that should be the first thing you do after installing a bunch of games to prevent this from happening. it's located in system_data/priv/mms.

it's not a payload. it's a script file.

if games are no longer deleteable, open the app.db with sq lite browser, browse data, appbrowse, then go to the canremove cell. underneath that will be either a 1 or a 0. 1 means it can be deleted, so change all games to 1. I think you can even delete system apps if you change those too, but I wouldn't.

So is not necessary to go to safe mode and rebuild database, only run the script correct?

the recovery menu won't repopulate the games. that's usually what causes them to disappear actually.

it's never happened to me, but I once had an issue with final fantasy vii (the psx remastered version) where it would error at boot up. game worked fine though. it was one of my own backups. anyway, I made a copy of my app.db, then rebuilt the database. I then injected my app.db. it fixed the error. another time was when I forgot to unmount a save with save mounter, so it got stuck in limbo. I couldn't delete it with ftp, delete it on the system, or unmount it. grabbing my app.db again, rebuilding the database, then injecting the app.db again fixed the error. I've never had a problem with corruption though.

I knew how important the app.db was from the vita, which also uses one to manage games. it records the info from the param.sfo like the metadata indexer on the ps3. it is the reason you have to install things in the first place. it's to record the metadata so that the system can quickly access your games without having to read over the entire hdd, which is what the 360 does, so it's much slower when going to memory management in system settings.

It recovered my games from internal hdd, big relief, however external hdd are still missing, of about expanded hdd?

@KiiWii may know what's going on. I assumed it worked for both drives. I have all of my games on an external hdd actually. I don't know if this has something to do with it. I dumped a fresh copy of my app.db just now. look at the metadatapath:

it says appmeta/external . no idea if that might be the reason. the appmeta is where the icon0.png is located at least (possibly other things).

Damn, I think this only works for internal hdd, external it seems there's no recovery

@KiiWii or @Leeful might have a suggestion. I know Leeful knows some about the app.db, so you might be able to fix it manually if the games are even in there. they may be in there, just not assigned a location. then again, they might be skipped, because they're using fake licenses.

Appmeta from my external hdd is missing, albeit all apk are there, I think this is a no solution, also the dashboard doesn't display recent played games

it seems to look in the appmeta folder only, not appmeta/external.

Found this on my computer. I think this release fixes external drives.
It mentions /system_data/priv/appmeta/external/%s/' % GameID in the script so it might work.
