Hardware Gamepad Input Pinouts?

Are there any well known places you can tap into the inputs on the Gamepad? I would like to be able to connect a microcontroller that could connect to my PC and read the inputs.

Not that I know of, but the best way to figure out the innards is to look at the IC's and see if you can find datasheets on them to see what they are. Then go from there.
