you guys think that one day, with a modded wii, you'll be able to play GC games with a classic controller?

not really i got my wii mod todai
and i dl some games and wondered if i need a gc controller
since i have to idea so i asked first

I seriously doubt if you will ever be able to play gamecube games using the classic controller. The wii basically has 2 modes of operation wii and gamecube. The wii controllers (wiimote and classic) do not map over to the gamecube mode.

I personally think that the Wavebird is awesome. Wireless is the way to go! Other wireless controllers.... eh, not so good. The Wavebird is the only one that I've used that never has connect issues.

Come on Nintendo! Resurrect the Wavebird!! (Wavebird Phoenix??? Rises from the ashes... hehe)

Yes the avebird is a good controller with a long battery life.
1 CON : no rumble feature, disappointing for smash bros

Latest build of Snes9x Wii (1.43) lets you use both Wiimote and Classic Controller so it's not impossible.

Yeah but that emu runs on Wii mode.

So you fail.
Gamecube games run NATIVE in GC Mode.. which means GC is NOT emulated.. And that limits the access to, memory, function, etc.

I hate the Wavebird. When I am playing competitively, I need rumble to get into the game and compete. Whenever my rumble isn't working on my XBOX 360 controller, I get owned in Halo 3. Oh yea, I don't think the Gamecube games will ever have classic controller support because I doubt Nintendo would spend all the time and monies to put a new controller on an old system.
