Hi everyone. I understand this might be a hopeless cause, but I have one of those infamous white official GameCube memory cards that was pretty much attached to my Wii 24/7.

Like so many others it stopped working, but it’s not a formatting error. My Wii won’t even mount the Memory Card. My other cards mount just fine. I know there is a way to recover saves if I dump the RAW image of the card using GCMM, but I can’t dump anything if the Wii can’t read the card.

Any ideas? I’m willing to take a hardware route if necessary as well. I’m just stuck at this point.

I've had the same issue once or twice.
What I've done to fix it was to actually take appart my Memory Card and clean the board + pins with alcohol.
That's worked for me both times I've encountered this error.

Thank you for the idea. I took it apart and cleaned the board and pins even though they didn’t look dirty. Still won’t mount though :/

To make sure it has nothing to do with the Wii, try it on a different one (if you can).
It hasn´t happened to me but I have read about the alcohol solution before.

Is it a small 59 card or the big 1019 one?

Unrelated to this topic, but I have had Killer7 tell me today that my MemCard (1019, official) is broken. But it is not. The other games work. Very odd. Usually MemCards break all at once (as far as I know).
