stupid question but when nintendon't in vwii mode is used is it upscaled like the wii games or is it left the way it originally was?

everything in vwii is "upscalled" well its barely noticable but it is, vwii itself is upscalled.

Nintendont is technically not an emulator It it is more like a bridge between an emulator and a virtual machine which runs Gamecube games natively.

Certain parts such as SI for controls, EXI for memory card and DI for data reads are emulated. The rest is just patched to match the Wii syscalls.

thanks guess the vwii is giving dolphin a run for its money in the video department now? real controllers and up scaled graphics thats great
Not really. Dolphin natively renders the games at a higher resolution, it doesn't upscale.

thats why emulation is in quotes :)
I find it quite annoying at times when vwii upscales things. I'd say just download Dolphin for PC instead.
why whats the big diffrence? and whats so bad about its up scaling?

It's not emulation it's native code run as is.
Only difference is it is not running in a 100% gamecube mode but the gamecube game is essentially faked to run as a Wii Game. (gamecube and wii being same system, just Wii being beefed up with few additional hardware things and majorly software things)

Did you maybe watch the video with the quality setting at least 720p, if not 1080p? If you still don't see the difference, maybe visit the optometrist, and I sincerely mean that.
oh i guess steam was bottle necking my browser how odd anyways i see very clearly now so whats bad about the up scaled emulated one? it looks great or was that not what i was supposed to be looking at?

I think I already said that lol

nintendont does emulate some components here and there but every cpu and graphic stuff are not emulated, just redirected to wii calls.
