IMO, when playing NES/SNES games, Classic controller is more comfortable than GC.

GC is more comfortable for anything besides NES/SNES.

Sorry to revive this thread guys.
But I'm also looking for one or the other.

I plan on using it solely for Wii games (Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, GoldenEye, Black Ops, NBA Jam, etc.).
No GC games and I probably won't end up playing on emulators often. Maybe a little though!

Please and thanks!

the wavebird works on all of that plus gc and all emulators and it's wireless unlike the cc pro it's also more comfortable so it's really the best option

Thanks for the reply!

Are there any known games that will take the CC / Pro and, for some reason, not the GC controllers?

NBA Jam doesn't work with the classic controller.
EDIT: Oops I wanted to write Gamecube controller.

Get a Wavebird GameCube controller if you can. I've had mine and used it regularly for about 6 years or so and it still works great. Battery life is really good too, especially compared to a Wii Remote. No rumble support though but it works really damn well!

I was wondering of which one to get. Price doesn't really matter for me at all.

if price doesn't matter, get both!

gotta agree with this. the gamecube controller is best for N64, SNES, and NES games. The gamecube button layout doesn't lend itself well to those, especially SNES. On the other hand, when I play a gamecube game I want a gamecube controller, so I think you need both. I was fortunate to snag two wavebirds just before they went out of production, and I'm buying a pair of classic pro's soon for older games.

Gah, I can't seem to find one in any of my local stores!

And my parents don't want my purchasing stuff online either..
As I prefer cordless, especially with the Wii, I guess I'm stuck with CC Pro. o.o

My opinion no need gc controller or cc in the 3d shooter and when will released red wiimote i buy with wiimote Wavebird

I have 4 Wavebirds and love them, that being said I get more use out of my classic controllers.

If your system is hacked and you play NES or SNES or TG-16 games then get a classic Controller by all means. You will be better served by it then the GC controller.
Could get a Bliss-Box Bridge and use anything. They make them for the GC and wii's

My advice: Get a Nyxi Wizard 2.

It works on NGC, Wii, Switch and PC.

Analog sticks can be configured as pure digital or NGC style (analog and digital). Both joysticks use TMR Hall Sensors.

It has six axis gyro on the Switch console and NFC too.

And the nice part for me as a Wii Familiy NGC controller owner (4 actually), it's all white, it looks really great!

No, I'm not promoting nothing, but I really should. It's an awesome controller.
