Hacking Gamecube adapter in vWii?

Sorry if this has already been asked or addressed, but I couldn't find much information regarding this.
Apart from Nintendont, is there anyway to use the Gamecube adapter with the vWii?
I'm mainly wanting to use it with Wii ISOs for Project M

Nobody's been particularly interested in adding it to programs. You'll probably have to wait until Project M supports it natively, which given how slow they are with releasing new content I'd say it'll be a while.
