Hacking Game Updates Safe?

I installed a .vpk game to my Vita and on first run its says there is a game update available. Are these safe to download?

I don't believe you'd be able to download the update anymore since PSN spoofing doesn't work. It'd likely ask you to update your Vita, which you shouldn't do.

If the game has an update, most sites where you can "acquire" them will also post updates, use that instead.

Will do. New to vita hacking so just making sure. Used to hack the PSP which is way easier than the Vita.

The update will not work with decrypted games. You have to wait for some guys show up and make a update VPK (vitamin) or patch (maidump)

You can download the update, but it won't install. I tried with maidump Little Big Planet
