I can't think of any other RPG with innovative gameplay and good storyline. Maybe Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier. It has interesting battle system, but I wouldn't say it is innovative. The story and characters aren't bad either. The only thing one might not like is ecchi style of some graphics, dialogues etc.
