Since most people are picking the "obvious" choices (Phoenix Wright, Professor Layton, Scribblenauts, Card and board games), i'd suggest you a more "different" approach, like "A Witche's Tale", a RPG you usly only the stylus. It's fun

A Witch's Tale is terribly boring, I wouldn't suggest it. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is probably better if you want a fully touch screen compatible RPG.

I'll also suggest Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ. Won't last you all that long but it's a fun game to play. Nice top-down shmup that's all touch screen compatible, or so I thought.

Elite Beat Agents is also good. Unfortunately there aren't too many fully touch screen games that'll keep you drawn in for a while. EBA will probably keep you hooked for a bit but once you put it down I found myself never touching it again until I delete it and put it back on my cart several months later.

Yes, you can get In-Flight wifi, but depending on what Airline the OP is flying upon, it can be a bit expensive, like 25 bucks for a domestic flight.
But Rhythm heaven is also a great touchscreen game.
Gardening Mama
Crafting Mama
and pretty much what everybody else said.

Hotel Dusk!!! Entertaining too. Your flight will finish almost too soon.

Hotel Dusk/Last Window are the best graphic adventure ever!

Oh, and you should get Elite Beat Agends, Ouendan 1 & 2, Dragon Quest IX, Phoenix Wright saga, Another Code and Rhythm Paradise!

And careful of the stylus esp if the plane get some turbulence (hope not, though. knock on wood). You don't want to mess the touchscreen, too

Alice in Wonderland is a surprise GREAT game that is touch screen only. Can be beat in around 5 hours.

Try Sideswiped. it's a great racing game. like burnout but a lot better..
It has the option to play ONLY with the buttons or ONLY with the Stylus. (you'd need to be nuts to play in that mode though xD ^^)

999 would be an excelent game. It is completely controlled IIRC by the touchscreen (or you can use the D-Pad and buttons) and will suck you into its addictive history. It has multiple endings, too.

Actually now that I think about it, for a 5 hour flight, you can easily finish 999 a few good times, unless your fast then you can easily finish the whole game within that flight.

Damn I wish I could recommend the Castlevania's but they arn't touchscreen only.....far from it..

So ima just say my 3 favorite ds games ...999 TWEWY and meteos

999 is all touchscreen, TWEWY you can get around having to use buttons, and meteos is all touchscreen with the exception of the L and R buttons (you don't really need them they are just convenient)

Meteos is an awesome puzzle game. I can't believe no one has mentioned it yet. WireWay is pretty cool.
EDIT: Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is awesome too. I'm also surprised no one has mentioned it yet.

Trauma Center Under the Knife 2
Kirby Canvas Curse
Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings
Pac'n Roll
999
Alice in Wonderland

Which one do you think that I can finish the whole game in 5-15 hours?
