Hello!
I may or may not do this. But I wanted to know if anybody here is familiar with Game Gears repairs before I throw myself in repair mode.

I've been given a Game Gear by a friend during last Christmas time, but I noticed that the screen is malfunctionning.
I've read around that it might be some capacitors that needs to be changed.

The thread I saw about reparing the Game Gear (https://fr.ifixit.com/Device/Sega_Game_Gear) is not complete enough to help me out.

I would also hear from you who might know which capacitors I could look for.

Here's how my screen looks like when I launch a game. The console needs to be inclined so I can see something.

You'd be better off just replacing it with a modern LCD screen. Would also save on battery life since it doesn't have to power a giant tube of light lol

Console5 for a pre-packed cap kit. Otherwise order some from a reputable dealer. Places like Ebay / AliExpress are not recommended for buying caps if you want quality.
