Hacking Game Freezing Problem

I know this is an old question but, how to get Monster Hunter Tri to work getting the the black screen with buzzing sound after selecting Start/Begin Game.

I've seen other forums how to fix it but that was for the Wii and trying to get it fix for Wii U/vWii. Just being careful....thats all. thanks

You should/must load the game with cIOS223.

You must have cIOS251 already installed.
You must just go in your USB Loader and set cIOS251 to start IOS.

cios223 is only a slot, its useless without further info what its content is.
by default 223 is dedicated to Hermes.
are you sure Hermes is compatible with vWii? I bet NOT

What is the content of your cios249 (or the one you used to run the game)? d2x? version?
a syscheck log tells a lot.
Have you checked your game iso and sure it is not bad/corrupted?

DO NOT follow wii guides for vWii unless you don't mind to brick your vWii.

You're right.
On vWii it must be cIOS 250 or cIOS 251.

cIOS249 should be using base 56, 250 base 57, and 251 base 58 (if you have that one installed, but AFAIK only some crappy casual games need it)
250 is needed for a few games where 249 doesn't work, so try that one.

What USB loader are you using? You can try to find an option within the app's settings to change the IOS used to 249.

No, before I see all my games the only thing is CFG logo and the bottom right corner is v70r78.8

I did go into the settings of the app and found

Strange, you seem to have the same cIOS installed in slot 249 and 250. Replace your cIOS249 with beta53-vwii-alt using base 56, that's how it should be. The others seem to be fine. It should work with either 249 or 250 once you've done that (probably 249)

Alright!!! That did it for Monster Hunter Tri,

I tried it on Metroid Other M but it didn't work should I be using another ISO? I freezes after tutorial. I had a file which it freezes when it zoomed up to Samaus face, so I downloaded another file it gets past the opening title "Metoird Other M" after the I freezes on a scene where you see the ship flying.
