Hardware Game disc not recognized

I recently just joined GBAtemp's forums, but now i have a problem with my Wii.

I have a USA WII which is chipped. Some back ups i have made are not working.

For example: I have a back up copy of Trauma center new blood, but once i play

to a certain part of the game, an error message pops up and says

"Game disc could not be read, or Game disc not recognized" and the game hangs.

This has also happened to a few of my other back ups.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest anything?

Are you burning your games at the correct speed? On the correct discs? Because this can make a difference in how it plays :|

I dunno. I use Imgburn and i burn at 4x, sometimes 2.4x.

I use Maxell Discs. Could the cause also be because i don't have the

latest Wii update? Cause i don't have wireless at my house so i can't get

my wii connected to the internet to get it updated.

try to use verbatim dvd-r...i my opinion thats are the best discs.
check the burning speed...it must be at 4x (perhaps 2.4x)
reading errors are mostly based on bad burned discs. you can also try a other medium then your maxell discs.
