@gaberilde I've been using hackingtools trying to rebuild Pokémon sun with the update and it just black screens. Also tried another game, same thing. Can you're tool patch a game update to a .3ds game for citra?
I'm having an issue trying to unpack Pokemon Ultra Sun. When I select the decrypted ROM file, no partitions show up, and I'm not allowed to extract it. The rom itself seems to be perfectly fine.
The tool might be unable to find the partition locations on the rom so it dosent work or something happened when decrypting maybe it wasnt decrypted fully or propely with the right tool and its unable to load it properly
I've got a rom that's only the DLC for Fire Emblem Fates, but when trying to extract the content.0000.000008d file I just get errors (filetype mismatch). Can anyone help?
Not sure if a dlc file will work because its possibly built differently but dont see why it shouldent there might be something wrong with the way it is encrypted or decrypted possibly
Trying to extract Ultra Moon .3ds. Doesn't work. There are no partitions to click in to extract. What should i do? I tried Hackingtool3ds too and that doesn't work neither, just "succesfully extracts" nothing
The tool might be unable to find the partition locations on the rom so it dosent work or something happened when decrypting maybe it wasnt decrypted fully or propely with the right tool and its unable to load it properly
The programs possibly not finding it in the rom for some reason could be bad layout or something wrong with encryption downloaded roms can always have problems
Have the same problem, Minor version is ignored, tried to rebuild a CIA with version 3.4.0 and the result is 3.0.0. Modifed cia works anyway, great tool (could'nt make HackingTool9 work anymore)
Sorry for the long delays, ive been very busy lately.
I will try very soon to release a fix and overall update for the title version issue as it seems to be becoming a big issue.
Will need to work out whats going on then update it.
hopefully before the end of this week or even sooner i can release it
Hello! I'm super new and I'm trying to find a way to change the title ID on Pokémon games?
All i want to do is change the ID enough, so Citra sees it as a "new" game and lets me have some extra save files. Since i want the "normal game" then i want the "randomized game" be able to have separate saves and maybe more for extra shiny hunting.
I just have no idea what I'm doing with this tool , since I'm unsure where the title ID is within the coding. or how to edit it.
I found this via that old unworking hacking program and learning to use this would be awesome.
just a question: I see that alot of ".bin" files within my files? I know that these are the "3d models" that I am after for. How to I get them to the ".BCH" 3d model format?! Or how do I open them up? So I can used them in ohana3ds to export the models for blender?

The title id appears to be embedded inside the .3ds and seemingly the cxi that it contains also, unfortunately the tools my app uses doesn't support title id editing but i managed to find the perfect app for you, since i probally wont be able to easily support it myself, you can use this app to do just that. I tested it as well and it works perfectly and quickly, no need to to even extract or anything.
You can find it here, tool isn't mine of course but you can look at the code and i did and its also safe and I tested that it works, sorry about the fact my tool cant do this but at least you have something that can now.
I would possibly suggest extracting the cxi and editing that and either using that with Citra directly, which does work and it can load those, or rebuild the I assume 3ds file with the edited cxi and use that tool again to edit the 3ds to have the same title id, through it might not be required but not sure what would happen if the 3ds and cxi had different title ids or if it wouldn't really matter.

This program only assists and supports the inital extraction and rebuild of the initial files you get before the romfs, after that anything inside the romfs could be a different file entirely depending on the game you are editing. I see these are .bin files, which are a very generic file format that could have really anything in them in terms of data and theres no set format. I noticed ohana3ds was mentioned, is that is also unable to open those files? If not then you will probally need to look up what game you have and see if there's a tool designed for those files you want to open.
Tip: To see if its a file that GabrieloRomToolsGUI can read, go to more and then "get advanced file info" and choose one of those files. If it says the file type is unrecognised then it most likely means this app will not be able to open them in any way.
If the keys say they are not matching and you are unable to extract any switch files correctly then most likely your keys are mismatching, I cannot assist you with obtaining prod.keys files so you will have to get working keys if so, I did update the key importing a little in the latest R4 build I just released, so you could also see if that works or no otherwise its more likely a bad prod.keys file
Hello Gabrielo I got to your marvellous tools by mistake and maybe I'm not using it very well but there is one function that could perhaps be useful to me. I'm trying to decompress and be able to edit .bin of Ace Attorney Trilogy for STEAM (PC). By any chance can your tool do this? Thank you so much

This tool does not support support pc files and only supports the systems listed on main post.
.bin format files can actually be formatted over 1000 different ways, none of them being compatible with eachother, it's a generic file type but the actual format is not and varies a lot. It most likely won't accept it but you can feel free to try.
Looks like a powerful tool, but I still don't know if it can do what I need, so I'll ask just to be sure.
I was trying to get a good translation patch for Medarot 9, and found two:
1º - Translates part of the menu texts, while not translating conversations, but changes the game to Rokusho version. ['exefs' and 'romfs' folders]
2º - Translates the conversations, while the menu texts are poorly translated, but gives credits to the 1º one (makes no sense to me). [.cia file]
On Azahar emulator, I managed to add the 2º translation as a .cia file and combine it with the 1º by pasting the 'exefs' and 'romfs' folders in the 'mods' folder. Got really nice results.
Now, I wanna try to turn that final result into a whole and final .cci file, merging game, update, DLC and translation patchs.
No, I don't want it to do the whole work automatically, just letting me extract everything, replace files in the folders and pack it all back into a .cci file.
Is that possible using GabrieloRomToolsGUI?
