I agree, that should be something that all carts should have. But I'm guessing they're not going to release the code. Also the info on how they got Realtime Saves working if they actually accomplish this.

I'm not sure if I would release the info myself if I were a cart developer. If they do get both features to work, they'll probably be the first expandable memory slot 1 to get the Wii connectivity feature. And they'll be the only slot 1 with save states. So I would know that a lot of people would choose my cart for the save states alone.

I don't know, that would be a tough decision.

Yeah, I'm curious about download play. They lied to us once about it being 100%. So I'll believe once it has been confirmed by numerous sources.

So please let us know about it ahtin, after you've had the chance to spend some time with it. Report on the DLDI too.

Thanks.

Interesting developments. If Download play is mostly fixed and DLDI released i'm giving the thumbs up!

Do you have a US G6 Real? And if so, does this work on it? And I'm guessing a public download link is not available?

waiting two more days it's better then have a chinese kernel IMHO

You think the English firmware is going to be out in two more days?

And thanks ahtin for testing the firmware. They need to deliver perfect download play. If TeamCyclops delivered it upon release, the G6 team surely can get it working on their cart. Especially since it's been out for almost two months.

Also ahtin, have they improved the touch screen calibration? In 2.0, it was just a tad off. You had to click on some stuff two or three times to get it to register.

So has that been improved?

Thanks

And is it the case that the r4 has slowdown crashing on castlevania where as the g6real has no issues with castlevania due to the internal mem?

Does anyone have any negative opinion of the g6real apart from price, unexpandable memory... How many games can you fit on the 1gb model?

Can someone also answer ... I had a flash2advance for gba years ago.. the long term problem was an internal battery that recorded save games.. after a long time. .this battery died and could not be replaced... Will I find similar issues with the DS backup cards? Do they have an internal ram like gba had for save games which can die after a while?

You could fit roughly 15-20 games without a problem on a 1GB model, which for many is more than enough.

I for one must admit I am very please with the pricing of the new 2GB model, that plus the fact that it could allow me to use my Pokemon Pearl save with Pokemon on the Wii is a big plus at the moment.

A possible sale for me, as I doubt I would ever need more than 2GB anyways.

Not sure, but does a G6Real/G6 Lite combo have any advantages over an R4/G6 Lite combo? Such as the case with EZFlash and the 3 in 1.

I already put in the pricey investment for the English G6 Lite, so i'm curious.

Advantages? Not that I can see. The G6DS Real does have 100% compatibility if the G6L or R4 cannot run something (IIRC G6 Lite runs Tony Hawk: DJ without a problem, so only Castlevania could be an issue)

I am new to the flash cart scene, but after doing a lot of reading I think that the g6real 16GB sounds like the best option for me. I have a question though to make sure before I purchase one when available.

Do I need to order any other cards or anything to run the nds games? If I did want to play GBA games do I need the ezflash and hte 3 in 1 combo?

Thanks

Alright, thanks.

I already own the retail cart for Castlevania (DOS & POS) so I seem to have no real immediate need for this then.
