No need to switch cards. You have a card that’s known to be working 100%. Let’s use that card and just format it again, put Hekate and atmosphere on it, and then use boot into Hekate and use the built in partitioner to properly partition the card (Hekate will back up everything under 1G on the card so it is all self contained.)

There are detailed steps in the guide to walk you through this.
So, basically, to be clear. What you're suggesting is...
  • format partition through hekate; to be sure the partition is there for the emunand, make an emunand while in there.
  • While that's going on, copy the contents of old sd card to pc
  • once that and switch are done, shut down switch to take new SD out and put that into pc
  • restore original NAND and copy contents over
And then it should work?

3.5 copy contents from PC to new SDCard
3.75 test in Switch to make sure it still boots up (sans your games/saves of course)
3.99 put back in PC

I get to 3.75, plug in the sd card with the rcmloader, and there is where I get the stupid GPT error. again.

*edit*
Oh my god, I found it. It's stupid as all hell, but god I found it.

in the emummc folder, there was an ini file, likely with configuration settings. ONe of the entries was about the sector. The sector listed was valid for the old, 256GB card. But it's different on the new card. Copying the sector entry from emutool into the line for the emummc ini file? It boots now!

Now can I restore my emuNand?

Perfect! Yes…now that we have a baseline…we know everything else works. Grab Emutool and migrate you old emunand over to the new emunand partition.

🤞🏼

Oh thank God, we have success!

Well, mostly... now it's saying all my installed games are to be redownloaded. Huh?
