Hacking FTPii disk dumping on 4.0?

I want to get SSBB dumped off my official disk so I can put it on my USB loader, and none of my methods have worked, so I figured I'd try FTPii. From my understanding there's no DVDX installer made for 4.0 yet, and FTPii needs DVDX for the disk functions. Am I right in saying this? Also, if there's no way to get FTPii working, is there another method to get SSBB dumped?
